Character And Plot
Harry Potter Sorcerers Stone revolves around a boy named Harry Potter who had his mother and father killed, when he was a infant, by the most powerful and feared wizard known. He then goes to live with his aunt for years without knowing anything about his past or his parents and having his cousin being spoiled and a bully to him and he gets treated like garbage and getting the worse of everything (Chapter #1-2). One day though, he received a letter, given to him by a giant who tells him he's a wizard, saying that he has been accepted to go to the best school for wizardry (Chapter #3-4). Once at the school he meets his best friends Ron Weasily and Hermione Granger (Chapter #6) who accompany Harry everywhere. Ron is a poor boy in a family of 6 and is Harry's best friend, he isn't particularly good at anything but he is loyal and humble. Hermione is the brains of the trio that always gets her work done instantly and with perfect marks, she follows rules and knows the most about school work out of every student at the school. Aside from them he meets a assortment of friends and sees all of the magic that has been forced out of his life he finally gets happy in the school. The trio eavesdrop and learn about the Sorcerers Stone that is supposed to be guarded and secret and set out to try to find the Sorcerers Stone and prevent anyone evil from getting it.
Important Themes/Symbol
The theme of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone to not be greedy. This is mainly stated after the final plot scene (Chapter #17) where they say something like if you want to get the sorcerers stone to use it then it won't appear but if you want it but don't want to use it then it shall appear. This is trying to point out that if you want something to use for yourself then it might be impossible to get but if you want it with no thought of power then the odds will favor you.
